The VR-500 is intended for use in shops, pubs, schools, clubs or any other situation requiring a robust handheld transceiver that is reliable and simple to operate. It is also ideal for use by paragliding enthusiasts or motorcycling clubs. It meets the IP45 standard for weatherproofing, and its 16 memory channels can be easily programmed via the optional programming lead.
If you don't envisage changing frequencies once they are programmed into memory, simply advise us at time of purchase of the frequencies you want programmed into the radio and any CTCSS or DCS tone codes, and we will program the radio accordingly prior to shipment.

A business radio licence is required to use the VR-500, this can be obtained from Ofcom. Costs start at £75 for five years, you can obtain further details and apply for a licence online on the Ofcom website
